DIETITIAN BIO

Anne Ronzoni is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist whose goal is to help find personalized solutions to help clients reach their nutrition and wellness goals.  As a former marketing professional, she understands the influence that our environment, beliefs, culture and attitudes towards food and nutrition play into what we chose to eat. For the foundation of each nutrition plan, Anne assesses each client to understand their goals, history, lifestyle and preferences.  She then helps individuals form new habits and integrate them into their everyday life, creating a nutrition program that is ideal for them.

Anne has always had an interest in health and wellness.  Her interests were driven by work in the food industry, along with her personal journey in sports, both as a student including skiing, lacrosse and gymnastics, and then as an adult endurance athlete, competing in marathons and full Ironman distance triathlons where nutrition plays a pivotal role.  Through her nutrition education, she also developed a passion for the sciences and how they relate to nutrition therapy.

Anne completed her Didactic Program in Dietetics at Brooklyn College and her Dietetic Internship at Northwell Health, where she had the opportunity to work in several hospitals and outpatient facilities, gaining a broad clinical nutrition foundation.  Anne has since worked in the clinical setting at the Montefiore and Long Island Jewish Medical Centers, and in the outpatient setting in private practice.  She has also held management positions in the New York City Health and Hospitals System as the Director of Clinical Nutrition for Outpatient at both Bellevue and Kings County Hospitals.  She has helped many patients and clients with nutrition for chronic and acute illnesses, weight management, general healthy eating and sports nutrition.  In addition to one-on-one counseling, Anne has also conducted programming for youth athletic teams, adult group sessions, and presentations.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

In addition to the therapeutic role nutrition can play for clients, and her interest in sports nutrition, Anne is a proponent of plant forward diets and the benefits they provide with regard to chronic disease prevention.  After graduating from her internship, Anne attended Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn’s Cleveland Clinic seminar on preventing and reversing heart disease with a plant based diet. While Anne is not vegan, she strongly believes that incorporating plant foods regularly into your meal occasions is the foundation for healthy eating.

Anne is also a fan of fitting activity into everyday life, whether it’s walking your dog, adding a few extra steps to each day, playing with your children or participating in a marathon!  Activity, in a way that works for you, is the complement to healthy eating on your personal wellness journey.

PHILOSOPHY

Anne combines her nutrition knowledge and passion for science with her understanding of consumer and "individual eater" behavior to create personalized, simple and actionable nutrition plans for each client.  Her counseling style combines nutrition education and practical behavior change that takes the mystery out of nutrition, and motivates clients through an understanding of why making healthy food choices will help to achieve their overall health goals.  She is a believer in variety and balance, as well as eating whole foods whenever possible.  She creates realistic plans and expectations with her clients and is never afraid to take advantage of a few nutrition hacks to help make healthier choices easier and more sustainable.

Anne looks forward to helping you on your personal wellness journey!
